The future does hold a promise of success. There is however, the fascination of surmounting problems ta r bound to crop up(happen/ appear suddenly) . Luck,admittedly,is a factor of success. However,to think only luck can lead to success is complete folly(ridiculous), for hard work always more rewarding . Success bypasses the superstitious and the lazy.
The formula for success, if u r not born lucky, is hard work. It is setting a target and striving to achieve it. Success comes to a student who is systematic( orderly/organised) and regular in his studies. He cannot achieve in a few days wat others try to achieve ,by striving to achieve in a few days wat others try to achieve, by striving the whole yr round. When one does wat he has to do today , he would have had a successful day.If this is done everyday, he can be assured of life-long success.
Success is often associated with the acquisition(gain/attainment) of material things. It is true tat wealth and wat it brings r necessary to enjoy wat the affluent (wealthy) society calls the good life; but an excess of it is not really necessary. Success in life does not necessarily mean in amassing wealth. If one can achieve wat he can with his ability, he is successful. Let mighty men achieve mighty things ; those nor tat endowed(资助）should be happy with wat they can achieve .He who has done his best is the one who is successful.
Luck cannot be ruled out (eliminate). Even political leaders r known to seek help of astrologers to ascertain planetary influence on them. It is in man's nature to believe in the supernatural. It is man's culture. Even those who mock the idea of the influence of the stars glance occasionally at the astrology column and consult palmistry book. However, superstitious beliefs without the will to act and succeed can have a negative influence on us .To think success is just a matter of luck , being born rich or getting the breaks is wrong.
Failure of the lazy and the superstitious lies not in the stars but in themselves...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Teachers should conduct more oral exams, because my friends speak more English only when an oral exam is coming up...
-When i speak in English, i have to think it out in my head in Mandarin first, then convert to English - it's very tiring. It's hard to make speaking English a habit .I think teachers should enforce a rule tat no Mandarin should b spoken during English lessons to force ppl like me to speak it...
- Teachers should reward students with prizes if they manage to speak English all day.I think tat is the only way, because all my friends just speak in Malay to each other all the time .They won't change tat easily...
- I think schools should use magazines like IN to promote reading ,because such magazines interest us. Teachers can also create innovative games to make students use English words. Games like charades would b very popular...
